Affinity Education Group welcomes Andre Reich as COO following six-month acting term
Andre Reich has been officially welcomed as the Chief Operating Officer of Affinity Education Group after a six-month period as Interim COO.
Mr Reich is an experienced senior leader who has previously held executive management positions with Coles Myer, Wesfarmers and The Reject Shop, and the skill set developed in those roles has proved advantageous in his Affinity role, where he has “contributed to significant cultural transformation and increased outcomes across multiple brands and businesses”.
“Andre is a values-based leader and has proven to be a great fit with our Affinity culture, bringing enormous enthusiasm and expertise to our business, and gaining great respect in a very short period of time,” Affinity CEO Tim Hickey said.
Mr Reich had quickly established a strong connection with the company’s 200-strong executive and operational teams, and 4,000+ employees.
“He has applied his commercial acumen and strengths in leadership and transformation to make a positive impact across our quality, education, safety and operational teams,” Mr Hickey continued, “and he truly lives our value of Having Serious Fun. I’m thrilled he is joining us at such an exciting time in our journey.”
In turn, Mr Reich described Affinity as having “one of the most positive company cultures I’ve ever experienced,” adding that Affinity’s brand promise of realising potential was a big component of what drew him to the organisation.
“It’s refreshing to be working with new and emerging leaders in the early education and care sector who are absolutely passionate about what they do,” he said.
