Affinity acquires 13 centres across NSW and ACT as it continues to grow network

Affinity Education Group has acquired 13 early childhood education and care centres in NSW and ACT as it continues to execute on its strategic objective to increase its overall network across Australia. 

CEO Tim Hickey said the new centres would collectively add close to 1,000 places for children to Affinity’s growing portfolio and are situated in areas with a growing need for high quality early education.

“We’re delighted to be able to expand our community and offer so many more children, especially in regional areas, access to our unique Lifelong Learning approach in their first five years before they start primary school,” Mr Hickey said.

The parcel of centres includes a group of five centres located around the Coffs Harbour, NSW area, a group of three in the metro Sydney suburbs of Castle Hill, Kellyville and Kellyville North and five single centres spread across regional NSW and the ACT. 

Previously trading under a range of different brands including Ohana Early Learning and Kindi-Mindi Early Learning the centres will be welcomed into the Affinity community via a rebrand and introduction to the Affinity Way. 

“As soon as we acquire a new centre, we work with the teams to introduce them to our ‘Affinity Way’ which covers safety, education, compliance, recruitment, family support and a dedicated quality improvement program,” Mr Hickey said.

“Children and families will benefit from our sector leading teaching, and educators will benefit from our continuous paid professional development opportunities which are offered through the Affinity Learning Academy, and our focus on career development pathways.”

Centre Manager Sarah Jovani said joining Affinity and transitioning to a newly branded Milestones Early Learning Centre had been nothing short of fantastic.

“We have received great support from day one. I am incredibly excited to offer Affinity’s Lifelong Learning approach, and our team feel confident about our transition to Milestones Early Learning Lisarow. With Affinity’s support, we will continue to educate and nurture the children in our care,” Ms Jovani said.

Affinity Education Group now owns and operates around 168 ECEC centres with locations in six of Australia’s eight States and Territories and is currently the third largest for profit long day care provider behind G8 Education and Busy Bees Australia.
