FDCA announces National Award Winners in 2019 Excellence
Family Day Care Australia (FDCA) recently announced the national winners in the 2019 Excellence in Family Day Care Awards.
Kellie Still of We Belong Family Day Care, located in Queensland, won the National Coordinator of the Year category.
The City of Greater Geelong Family Day Care in Victoria received the award for National Service of the Year, and April Eaton, from Kids at Home Family Day Care was recognised as the National Educator of the Year.
Commenting on the awards, FDCA Chief Executive Officer Andrew Paterson said the awards “celebrate the uniqueness and diversity of family day care and highlight the nurturing home learning environment that makes family day care the natural choice for quality early childhood education and care”.
“To be chosen as the 2019 National Award winners is not only a reward for each winner’s dedication to providing support to family day care educators, families and children, it is also a reflection on the impact that they have made on the sector,” Mr Paterson added.
FDCA congratulated each of the national award winners, as well as everyone who was nominated or won an award, thanking those who placed nominations for co-ordinators, services and educators this year.
Sponsors for the awards included Clyde & Co, Early Childhood Australia, ACECQA, the Federal Department of Education, and the Tasmanian Department of Education.
Messages of congratulations and support may be left on the FDCA Facebook page.
