Significant technical upgrade sees NQA IT System and Portal move to the cloud

The way in which early childhood education and care (ECEC) services access the NQA IT System changed in April 2024, when the NQA IT System and Public Portal were migrated to a cloud platform as part of a significant technical upgrade.
As such, ECEC services who have not already done so must re-register, as old login details are no longer valid.
Information Management and Governance specialist iCognition were involved in an upgrade of the internal records management system for ACECQA.
“iCognition is proud to have streamlined the cloud transition to just a few weeks, especially when compared with some of the year-long transitions we’ve seen in the market of late,” iCognition Director of Professional Services, Matt Jordan shared with Information & Data Manager (IDM).
ACECQA has published detailed instructions on how to register, how to link provider accounts and how to add new users. These can be found in the NQA IT System Help Centre.
Services who experience challenges with the registration process are asked to lodge a ticket through the help centre.
For services with concerns about the security of cloud based information and data, iCognition CEO, Mr Joe Mammoliti has the following perspective;
“This cloud service is not only Government IRAP assessed to the level of protected, but also upgraded to the new ISO27001:2022 Information Security, Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection certification, making it the most secure Content Manager cloud service available, as far as we can tell.”
“The cloud-based approach facilitates regular updates and new enhancements, providing the ACECQA with the opportunity to extend a standard Content Manager solution to iCognition’s Ingress Content Services Platform,” Nigel Carruthers-Taylor, Principal at iCognition added.
