Maroondah Occasional Care celebrates Exceeding rating
Maroondah Occasional Care service, located in Victoria, is celebrating the achievement of Exceeding the National Quality Standard in all seven quality areas during a recent assessment and rating visit.
During the visit, authorised officers noted that the children’s sense of security and confidence at Maroondah Occasional Care was greatly influenced by the support and respectful connections that exist between educators, children and families, as well as between the educators themselves.
In the assessment, Maroondah Occasional Care was also recognised for its inclusive partnerships with children and families, positive workplace culture and organisational values, sustained commitment to professional development and support of educators, and environments that enhance children’s learning and growth.
Maroondah Mayor Rob Steane said the rating reflects the high-quality service delivered by the centre.
“The National Quality Standard sets a high benchmark for providers throughout Australia, so for Maroondah Occasional Care to have achieved an Exceeding rating across all seven outcome areas is outstanding,” he said.
“This rating is a testament to the wonderful care and service that Maroondah Occasional Care provides for our community.”
Maroondah Occasional Care provides education and care for children from six weeks to five years of age.
The Council-run service offers permanent bookings as well as casual/emergency bookings based on availability, giving families the opportunity to attend work or appointments, or for children to socialise with others in a mixed-age setting.
