Busy Bees extends gratitude to children, families and communities
Busy Bees Early Learning Australia services around the country will be commencing a one-month campaign of thanks and recognition from today, with each of the providers 63 services around the country creating a light display to show their thanks to the children, families and communities who use their services, for their patience and understanding during the challenges of COVID-19.
The launch of the ‘Lighting UP with Gratitude’ event, commencing from Monday 1 June, a spokesperson said, “seeks to drive a symbol of hope, of thanks and of heart throughout the local community and for the Busy Bees Early Learning Australia children, their families and our hard-working employees.”
Believing that “light attracts light”, Busy Bees Services throughout Australia will “light up” the front of their services and “unite as one, as we come out of COVID-19 and into a very different world”.
Those families who are in quarantine, or who are engaging in social distancing have been invited to light up their front yards and share their images on social media using the hashtag #lightUPwiththanks
Service managers and educators will also share the love more broadly, taking the time to personally thank their local community groups and businesses by delivering gratitude cards and hand-made gifts from the children.
Busy Bees Early Learning Australia CEO Robert Hughes said the provider wanted to remain as a consistent presence in the lives of children during this tumultuous time.
“With the world around them reacting to the current news, it remains our mission to provide children with a level of comfort and a routine that they can call upon each day, to give them the very best start in life.”
“We are proud that many families in essential services roles have relied on us to remain open to support them during these uncertain times, and we would like to publicly thank all our families for their patience, understanding and support at this difficult time,” Mr Hughes said.
The campaign, he added, was developed with the intention of maintaining a high level of focus on the recommended social distancing measures, allowing for recognition to take place in a way which minimises contact with others.
