Take action together for the National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence

Federal Minister for Education Dan Tehan has encouraged those involved in education and care to participate in the 10th annual National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence, held on Friday 20 March 2020.
In a video message, Mr Tehan said that participation in the National Day of Action Against Bullying was a way that education communities could send a strong message that bullying has no place in education and the broader community.
While many of the resources produced to support educators to participate in the National Day of Action Against Bullying are targeted toward school-aged children, and therefore of most use to those working in the Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) sector, there are some resources which may be of use to those working in the early years, including The Allen Adventure, which supports children with skills of entering and exiting play, and being a support for other children.
Resources designed to support early childhood educators to speak with parents and carers about bullying are also available, alongside tips about dealing with aggression in the early years and how to manage aggressive social behaviours in the years before school.
More information about the National Day of Action, and instructions on how to register your sites involvement, is available on the Bullying. No Way! Website.
