Applications for 2025 Fraser Foundation scholarships close soon
The Fraser Foundation is now accepting applications for its first 2025 scholarship application review, encouraging aspiring early childhood teachers planning to begin their Bachelor or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education to apply before the 20 January deadline.
The Fraser Foundation Board of Directors will review applications and notify successful applicants before Semester 1 begins, making this the most crucial time of the year to apply for scholarships.
Established in 2021 by early childhood teacher, approved service provider and Australian Childcare Alliance Queensland vice-president Jae Fraser, the Foundation is committed to redefining education pathways, providing tailored scholarships to aspiring early childhood teachers (ECTs) who strive to be a part of shaping future generations.
“In just three years, we’ve provided scholarships to more than 30 deserving educators across Australia who just needed a little uplift to achieve their dreams,” Mr Fraser said.
“By contributing to their education through scholarships, we’re not only easing the financial burden for these passionate individuals but in turn, The Fraser Foundation is ensuring more children across Australia receive the quality early education they need and deserve,” he added.
Leonie Michie is one of the educators being supported by the Foundation, currently completing her Graduate Diploma while working as an educator in a kindergarten classroom and raising her son.
“I don’t think words can explain the gratitude I feel,” she said.
“I am a single mum who is currently working two jobs, six days per week to cover the cost of living. My goal is to provide my son with a home, giving him consistency and stability. Having this opportunity from The Fraser Foundation is amazing.”
Having recently raised more than $160,000 at its annual charity luncheon held at The Star Gold Coast in November 2024, The Fraser Foundation can continue to make a significant impact on the lives of educators across Australia by bringing more early childhood teachers to the sector, and in turn ensuring the highest quality early education for littlest members of our society.
Scholarships are open to all Australian and permanent resident early childhood educators. Educators who wish to learn more and apply for a scholarship to support their tertiary education can visit thefraserfoundation.com.au
