Registrations for Lake Bolac Childcare Centre now open
Victoria’s Ararat Rural City Council has opened registrations for the future Lake Bolac Childcare Centre.
Ararat Early Learning Centre Pty Ltd and developer E2E Growth Consultants Pty Ltd have agreed to work closely to progress plans for the centre, with the intention of alleviating some of the availability pressures being felt in the region.
The Council has urged local families to register as registering will enable the provider to begin the process of planning how the service could operate to best meet the education and care needs of the children, and to begin developing the workforce necessary to delivering its services.
At this stage the service has an anticipated opening date of late 2025, subject to planning and service approvals. Should early projections be accurate, the service will create approximately 10 new jobs for the region, as well as supporting primary carers from about 40 local families to increase their participation in education and training, employment, or running the farm.
Access to early childhood education and care (ECEC) in the region will also help local employers and services with recruitment efforts to fill vacancies where the preferred candidate and their family need access to care.
“We are very delighted to have a well-regarded local childcare provider and a community-minded developer on board for this critically important initiative,” Dr Tim Harrison, CEO of Ararat Rural City Council said.
“The economic and social flow-on benefits and impacts of the Lake Bolac Childcare Centre on the local community will be immense.”
