QLD Government introduces Kindy Tick in support of Free Kindy in 2024
Following in the footsteps of the Victorian Government, the Queensland Government has introduced a ‘Kindy Tick’ which approved kindergarten program providers can use to indicate to families that funded kindergarten placements are available at their facility.
Approved providers of Free Kindy will receive electronic versions of the new kindy tick and a style guide to allow them to update and modify their digital and online promotions. This ensures each provider will be fully equipped for immediate promotion of the Free Kindy program.
Packs with promotional items – stickers and a mobile, as well as the style guide – will also be mailed to approved kindergarten program providers offering free kindy. The package also includes a ‘free’ decal. This decal allows providers to modify existing signage, making sure that parents, caregivers and families know the site is a part of the free kindy initiative.
The kindy tick also assures parents and families that a provider’s kindergarten program is part of the free kindy initiative, helping them to instantly recognise free approved kindergarten programs.
During the transition period, both the existing identifier and the new kindy tick will be in use.
Services who have yet to receive a pack should email [email protected] for support.
