Unicare launches new brand and website to “encourage the wonder” in all children

Early childhood education and care (ECEC) provider Unicare Early Childhood Education has launched a new brand and website designed to capture the “messy wonderment” of Unicare, which is located on the Crawley campus of the University of Western Australia.
As Unicare enters a new stage of growth, the provider is “re-strategising, re-vitalising and moving Unicare in a new and exciting direction,” according to Chair of the Unicare Board Daniela Hundzova.
The spirit of the rebrand is captured in Gum, one of the whimsical Unicare Guardians that embody the educators that care for and educate the children. Gum is “filled with the biggest dreams and most wondrous imagination,” and is the creation of Senior Designer and mother, Carly Moone who created the brand, and lovingly handmade each character with her son and father, using flora collected from around the centre.
Gum and the other characters were photographed by teacher Luke Baker, with the rebrand and characters capturing the energy of the service, its gardens, the nature play philosophy, the enriching programs and the unique spirit of Unicare.
“Unicare’s new website is a stunning realisation of a lot of energy from everyone – parents, staff, children, the Unicare board, and local community members,” Ms Hundzova said.
Under the leadership of board member Lauren Pemberton, the Unicare Board is excited to share the new direction for the service: “encourage the wonder”.
“Inspired by natural Australian tones and the whimsical Unicare Guardians that embody the wonderful educators that care for and educate our children, “encourage the wonder” is set to reflect the values and ethos that underpin our vision for Unicare,” Ms Hundzova added.
