Childcare finder app KindiCare launches new next generation comparison website

KindiCare, the creator of Australia’s first childcare finder app which has clocked up over 50,000 installations in less than a year, has launched a new childcare comparison destination that brings the best of the popular app to an ultra modern, next generation website.

The creation of the website represents a year of research and development effort combined with extensive consultation with a large contingent of the parents who use the KindiCare App and also childcare providers who use the KindiCare Marketplace Portal.

“The KindiCare App was developed to cut through all the complexity of finding childcare and simplify the journey for families searching for early learning services,” KindiCare Founder CEO Benjamin Balk explained.

“By all of our internal measures our strategy has worked incredibly well with over 60,000 user sessions logged in March alone and a commensurate number of high quality leads being generated for our early learning partners.”

“With the launch of our KindiCare Comparison Website, users can now move between their mobile phone, computer or tablet with one single login enabling the parent to choose the KindiCare search experience that is right for them.”

“That’s great for families and for providers which is a terrific outcome for the sector at large.”

KindiCare Comparison Website, an ultra modern next generation listings website

The new Kindicare website uses a combination of next generation “rich web” capabilities with a cutting edge UX design informed by extensive research from inside and outside of the early learning sector in Australia.

“We wanted to deliver a truly outstanding and unique customer experience and worked hard to consult with as many families and providers as we could,” Mr Balk said.

“However, we didn’t stop there as we were also very interested in exploring the customer experience that other trailblazing and innovative platforms such as Uber Eats, Booking.com and Domain were giving their communities with a view to capturing their winning strategies to create something that is sophisticated yet simple and engaging for the early learning sector.”

“The result is something very special that will be difficult to match,” he added.

“We have a unified, multi-channel, next generation platform where families can search by brand or centre name, not just suburb or postcode, that provides a market leading user experience and child care providers with access to a high quality lead pool that is second to none.”

Family to centre direct messaging capabilities extended to comparison website

The direct messaging interface at the heart of the KindiCare app that enables seamless communication to take place between an enquiring family and a childcare service without any intermediary, and has proven so popular with families, has been extended to the Kindicare comparison website.

“Another key difference with the KindiCare experience is that traditional emails for communication, which are often overlooked and sit in inboxes unanswered for extended periods of time, are bypassed with our native app messaging which allows families to engage directly and securely with the childcare providers of their choice,” Mr Balk said.

“This feature creates a level of customer experience that parents want and a certainty on behalf of providers ensures that the leads they are receiving are authentic, unique and of high quality with a high probability of conversion.”

Mr Balk said that feedback from childcare providers has been that the quality of leads and opportunities, not quantity, was most important to them. KindiCare is seeking to reduce the wasted effort of centre directors and enrolment teams whilst ensuring parents are only being contacted via KindiCare by providers they choose to engage with.

“We’re incredibly excited to launch the new KindiCare Comparison Website and to commemorate its launch, and also to continue to provide support for the sector at large, we’re extending a 50 per cent discount for all new subscribers of KindiCare Premium. So that’s $54.50 a month, instead of $109.

“The value we are creating for providers is exceptional and we look forward very much to helping them connect with as many families as possible in the days and months ahead.”
