ASQA notes important changes to the publication of regulatory decision information
The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) has announced changes to the publication of regulatory decision information as it relates to Vocational Education and Training (VET) in early childhood education and care (ECEC) and other sectors.
“We are beginning to change the way our regulatory decisions are recorded, reported and published, as part of our ongoing reforms,” a statement from the Regulator read.
The way information is published on the National Register (training.gov.au) will change to comply with new legislative requirements effective 1 March 2021.
The National Register will display:
- the status of decisions, which will be updated throughout review processes
- some overview information
- decision details
- a history of events associated with the decision, as well as related decisions.
As part of the changes, VET providers are being encouraged to review their information on the National Register after 1 March 2021 and update any necessary details in asqanet, or contact the Info Line at [email protected] as soon as possible.
There will be some minor delays in updating decision information on the National Register (training.gov.au) in the lead up to 1 March 2021, as ASQA implements new processes to meet these requirements.
Providers will also see some changes to their asqanet portal information. From 1 March 2021, the ‘Registration Conditions’ sections for both RTO and CRICOS registrations will be temporarily removed while this section is enhanced to align with the new regulatory decisions structure.
All published and unpublished decisions associated with a registration will be available once the enhancement is completed, later this year.
ASQA thanked VET providers for their patience during this time. Feedbacks and suggestions should be sent to [email protected].
