Nominations now open for the ninth Annual Excellence in Family Day Care Awards
Family Day Care Australia (FDCA) has announced that nominations for the 2020 Excellence in Family Day Care Awards are now open.
The awards are the only awards in Australia dedicated to the family day care sector, recognising educators, coordinators and services from across the country for the outstanding work they do with children and families, including some of Australia’s front line shift workers such as medical personnel and emergency responders.
Through their nominations, families, educators and service staff have the opportunity to share their stories about what makes their educator, coordinator or service such an integral and special contributor to their lives and to the lives of the children in their care.
“The Awards allow us to showcase stories and achievements of excellence that make family day care the natural choice for children, families, communities and early childhood education professionals across the country,” says FDCA Chief Executive Officer Andrew Paterson.
Now in their ninth year, the Awards have, over the years, seen almost 24,000 nominations placed for educators, coordinators and services across Australia, resulting in over 850 awards being presented.
“The Awards continue to go from strength to strength and the sheer number of nominations we receive each year are a testament to the crucial role that family day care plays in the lives of families all around Australia,” Mr Patterson said.
Nominations for the 2020 Excellence in Family Day Care Awards close on 13 August 2020, with the National Winners to be announced at the Awards Gala Dinner in Adelaide on 21 November 2020, dependent on COVID-19 restrictions.
