Occupancy up 2% in October according to latest Kindynow benchmarking report

KindyNow, has released its third issue of a new benchmarking report series that focuses on providing insights into occupancy and booking trends from across the sector on a monthly basis.
The October report noted that occupancy has risen 2.0 per cent from September to August 2019 despite total bookings (and revenue) per service being up by 12% from September 2019 with the reason for the difference being more business days in the month at 23 compared to 21 in September.
Total bookings in September for an average centre, deemed to be 90 licence places, rose to 1,669 compared to 1,420 in September.
On a daily basis around 69 permanent bookings were being recorded and 3.6 casual, a ratio of around 19 to 1 with casual representing around 5.3 per cent of total bookings.
