Job description

About the Role

This position operates under general direction from the Service Manager. The role is required to assist with the day-to-day operations of the Centre, by providing general administration duties.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Data and document management
  • Telephone and reception services 
  • Respond to internal and external enquiries, as well as provide advice and information to staff, families, and visitors 
  • Ensure stationary supplies and related orders are processed and maintained 
  • Using excellent communication skills, promote a positive and supportive service for staff, families and the broader community 
  • Actively demonstrate professional workplace practices consistent with the Communities at Work’s Vision Purpose and Values
  • Comply with Communities at Work’s Policies and Procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy, in accordance with related policies

What We Need from You

  • Maintain current ‘Working with Vulnerable People’ registration 
  • Exceptional organisational and administrative skills, with high attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with flexibly and with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated capacity to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
  • Competent computer skills

Desirable

  • Current drivers licence
  • Certificate in Business Administration
  • Approved Early Childhood Qualification
