Australia’s largest early learning provider Goodstart Early Learning has today announced the 2019 winners of the national Goodies Awards. 13 lucky winners were chosen from around Australia, recognised for their role in ensuring that Goodstart delivers on its stated purpose – to ensure that all children have the learning, development and wellbeing they need for school and life.

Winners were selected from across the 665 Goodstart centres around the country, with 16,700 total employees, with the standard of this year’s nominations described by CEO Julia Davison as “extraordinarily high in every category”.

“This year’s winners are an outstanding group of women and men, but I especially want to congratulate Liz Brooker from Goodstart Harristown who won this year’s ‘Golden Goodie’ In- Centre Goodstarter of 2019,” Ms Davison said.

“Liz personifies everything a family could hope for in a Centre Director, she goes above and beyond for the children, families and educators at her Centre,” she added.

Ms Davison also gave a special mention to the team at Goodstart Tuggerah who were nominated for six state awards, as well as winning two national awards in the Innovation and Employee Experience categories.

“Our focus on our people – providing them with the support, training and resources they need to thrive – is bearing fruit with the nominations displaying extraordinary skill, commitment and passion,” Ms Davison said.

“I am so proud to be a part of a team which repeatedly demonstrates its dedication and joy in the vital work we do. Congratulations to all nominees and State and National Goodies award winners,” she added.
