Think broadens executive team with appointment of new Chief Operating Officer
Think Childcare (Think) has confirmed the appointment of Georgina Gaussen as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, a newly created position for the Group.
Ms Gaussen, who is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Monash University, has previously worked in senior manager and executive roles across the media and airline sectors at Qantas, News Corp, Fairfax Media and more recently digital media platform The Love Destination and Virgin Australia.
Commenting on the appointment Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mathew Edwards said the Group believes Georgina’s experience is well suited to the needs of Think as it continues to execute on its strategy to be the quality leader in early childhood education in Australia.
Ms Gaussen will join Mr Edwards, Chief Executive Officer and Jenny Saliba, Chief Financial Officer, on the executive team.
In other Think related news the company has confirmed that the Federal Court of Australia has approved the convening of meetings of shareholders to consider and vote on the proposal to create a new shareholding structure that encompasses Think and its new development arm Think Childcare Development Ltd.
The scheme meeting will be held at 10:30am on 5 December 2019 at the offices of Minter Ellison, Level 23, 525 Collins Street, Melbourne, Victoria.
The general meeting will commence after the scheme meeting.
