KU Children’s Services website wins international w3 Award for digital excellence

The KU Children’s Services (KU) website has won a Silver Award at the prestigious 2025 w3 Awards for Transforming the Web Experience through Human-Centric Design (HCD) in the Non-Profit category.

The award recognises KU’s new website, launched in December 2024 alongside their refreshed brand, for its outstanding approach that puts the needs, experiences and perspectives of people at the heart of the design process.

The w3 Awards, established in 2005, celebrate global digital excellence across web, marketing, video, mobile, social, podcasting and emerging tech. Judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, an invitation-only panel of senior leaders from organisations such as The Walt Disney Company, Netflix, Microsoft and the National Gallery of Art, the awards are a benchmark of innovation and impact.

The reimagined KU website places families and early childhood professionals at the centre of the experience. Informed by extensive focus groups and educator feedback, the intuitive layout and navigation make it easier for families to find services and begin their KU journey. It also provides teachers and educators with seamless access to valuable resources and career opportunities.
