Harmony Early Education sponsors Bangalow Billycart Derby

Early childhood education and care (ECEC) provider Harmony Early Education is the proud event sponsor for the action-packed Bangalow Billycart Derby, which will take place on Sunday 19 May.

For weeks the children of Harmony Early Learning Bangalow have been preparing their billycarts, along with signs for the event, navigating their own racecourse in carts created by the Bangalow Men’s Shed.

The Bangalow Lions Club will host the event, which has been a core part of the Bangalow community since 1995, seeing a variety of carts racing down Byron Street. 

“We are proud to be a part of the annual Bangalow Billycart Derby not just as a sponsor, but also as an active part of the Bangalow community,” Harmony CEO Laurie Begni said. 

“We can’t thank the Bangalow Men’s Shed enough for putting together the beautifully crafted carts that the children have been racing around in leading up to the big day, which has now become a tradition.”

In 2024 the Harmony Bangalow team will be defending numerous titles, and Mr Begni said the broader team can’t wait to cheer them on. 

As a major sponsor for the event, Harmony will have a Pit Stop and Chill Out Zone at the start line where visitors can relax, refill their water bottles and apply sunscreen.

Harmony has a strong presence in Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales with 16 services already operating and an additional three in development.
