Genius Childcare appoints new National Pedagogy and Training Leader
Genius Childcare has confirmed the appointment of Sarah Louise Gandolfo as National Pedagogy and Training Leader to steer educational excellence across the provider’s growing network of services.
“As we embark on the journey into 2024, Genius recognises the paramount importance of investing significantly in our educators and programs for the benefit of children’s education,” Sel Omerovic, National Operations Manager said.
“This commitment is not merely a financial endeavor but a strategic move to ensure that the foundation of knowledge is laid with precision and care. Sarah Louise’s appointment is a testament to our dedication to providing educators with the necessary tools, training, and support.”
Ms Gandolfo, a qualified early childhood teacher and early years advocate, has an extensive background in the early learning sector having worked in classroom based and management roles in services but also more recently as a lecturer, advocate, mentor and coach in multiple organisations.
Currently Ms Gandolfo serves as a committee member for the Victorian Branch of Early Childhood Australia, a board member at advocacy group Social Justice in Early Childhood and the Australian Council for Educational Leaders as well as being Chair of St John’s Kindergarten Croydon and a mentor with the Upskill Program at The Front Project.
“I am thrilled to be taking on this exciting position at Genius,” Ms Gandolfo said.
“I have been involved in the early learning sector for nearly two decades and to think I will be able to use all the knowledge, skills and experience accumulated along the way to support educators across a respected group like Genius is just amazing.”
Genius currently owns and operates twelve centres with a further ten expected to open this year. Genius also anticipates settling a further thirty centres acquired through an arrangement with listed provider G8 Education announced in October 2023.
