$200 payment to help NT preschool families with back to school costs
Families across the Northern Territory will receive a $200 payment to support them with items such as uniforms, stationery and textbooks, or as credit towards excursions, camps and tuition fees.
The Back to School Payment Scheme is available to all school students, preschool, and registered home-schooling students, regardless of whether they attend a government or non-government school.
The hugely popular initiative had a 95 per cent redemption rate last year, with 41,173 out of 43,332 eligible students accessing the scheme.
Families must redeem the payment by the end of Term 1, and in addition to the Back to School Payment scheme, families are also eligible for a $100 sports voucher per child, per semester for use at more than 350 sport and recreation providers across the Territory.
