Get ready for Geccko and start 2024 compliant and aware
Early childhood education and care (ECEC) services are being encouraged to register for the Get Early Childhood Compliance Knowledge Online (Geccko) platform.
The online platform is the creation of the Department of Education and has been tailor made for the ECEC sector, designed to support services to comply with their obligations under Family Assistance Law (FAL), which outlines the rules for administering the Child Care Subsidy (CCS).
Geccko courses are suitable for all staff across all approved care types and include:
- Overview of Family Assistance Law and National Law
- Fit and proper person requirements
- Persons with management or control
- Family Assistance Law notification requirements
- Understanding enrolments
- Reporting sessions of care
- Fraud awareness
- Electronic payment of gap fees.
New courses will be announced through the Department’s newsletter or via its Facebook group.
