Final report from ISP review released

The Federal Department of Education has released its final report following a review of its Inclusion Support Program (ISP) for the early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector.
The report found that the ISP met its objectives when supports were delivered and accessed as intended, whilst also identifying that resources “could be better targeted” and that other improvements were needed to achieve greater inclusion of children in ECEC services.
21 findings were made in total, along with the report identifying 21 short and medium term opportunities, along with five longer term opportunities to embed inclusion in the ECEC sector.
Outcomes from the report will be used to inform both the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission inquiry into ECEC prices and the Productivity Commission inquiry into the ECEC sector.
