More ECEC options to come in Yarrawonga, easing regional demand

Two new early childhood education and care (ECEC) services are on the way for the regional community of Yarrawonga, Victoria, supporting growing demand for care and responding to growth in the community.
Country Buddies Childcare and Kindergarten Centre, an established provider in the region, will build a service on Woods Road, with a cap of 108 enrolments. The provider currently has a service on Derry Drive which caters for 119 children.
Trikki Kidz Early Learning Group is also building a service in the town on Enterprise Way, which will cater to 125 children.
In addition, planning is in progress for a third service with 120 places, with land earmarked alongside the Murray Valley Highway in Glanmire Park, local media reported.
Approved provider for Trikki Kidz, Trudy Brooks, described the expansion in the town as “a no brainer” given the demand for its services in nearby Cobram and Barooga were being driven, in part, by families living in Yarrawonga.
“Families were pleading with us to build a service in Yarrawonga so we made the decision to add a third service to our small group,” she said.
She hopes that increased provision for education and care will attract more families to the community, describing Yarrawonga as “a beautiful place for families to live.”
Both Country Buddies and Trikki Kidz are family owned and operated services, and describe themselves as being not for profit.
