Rochester Kindergarten community says thanks after massive post-flooding support

The Shine Bright community has released a statement thanking those who contributed to the Rochester Kindergarten Flood Appeal.

“The flooding that struck our beloved Rochester Kindergarten left us in a state of shock,” the statement notes. 

“However, it is in times like these that the true strength of a community is revealed. From the moment the news spread, everyone all rallied together to lend a helping hand. This support gave us hope, renewed our spirits, and helped us see a brighter future ahead.”

“We have received unwavering support, both in terms of generous donations and words of encouragement, during this challenging time. Today, we want to express our deepest thanks to all those who stood by us and helped us rebuild after the devastating flood.”

From the ‘incredible individuals’ who donated their hard-earned money to the cause through to the children and families who utilise the kindergarten, the community rallied around, and the financial, moral, emotional and practical support allowed the Kindergarten to begin the process of restoring the facilities and resources that were damaged or destroyed. 

“These contributions will make a lasting impact on the lives of the children who attend our kindergarten, providing them with a safe and nurturing environment to learn and grow,” the statement notes.

“We would like to thank the families and parents of our kindergarten students. Your unwavering support, patience, and understanding during this difficult time have been truly remarkable. Your words of encouragement and trust in our ability to rise above this setback have inspired us to keep pushing forward.”

As the Rochester Kindergarten team looks to the future, they are “filled with optimism and hope”.

“The outpouring of support we have received reaffirms our belief in the power of compassion, empathy, and the inherent goodness of humanity,” the statement notes. 

“It is because of each and every one of you that our Rochester Kindergarten will not only recover but emerge stronger and more resilient.”

“Once again, on behalf of our entire team, our students, and their families, we extend our deepest thanks for your unwavering support during the Rochester Kindergarten Flood Appeal. Together, we have shown that through unity, compassion, and a shared sense of purpose, we can overcome any challenge that comes our way.”
