First Grammar Holsworthy to host MP for Launch into Learning

First Grammar Holsworthy will today host Liverpool City Councillor and Labor Candidate Charishma Kaliyanda as part of her campaign for victory ahead of the New South Wales State election, to be held 23 March.
Ms Kaliyanda will visit the centre at the request of G8 Education, one of the providers involved with the Launch into Learning campaign, which calls on all major political parties to fund two years of access to high quality early learning in the years before school.
Led by the Early Learning and Care Council of Australia (ELACCA), which represents the major not-for-profit and private providers of early learning and care services, the Launch into Learning campaign is supported by hundreds of centres across the state, and targets marginal seats, calling for bipartisan support, and significant investment in the early years.
“We know that the ages of three to five are critical to brain development and that children who have attended two years of quality play-based learning make the best transitions to school,”G8 Education Managing Director and ELACCA co-chair Gary Carroll said.
“Launch into Learning will be reminding the major parties and their candidates that high quality early learning grows confident, capable and curious young learners who are ready to thrive.”
