Young Academics work with Bulldogs on new warm up routine

Children at Young Academics Early Learning Centre are gearing up for the start of the National Rugby League (NRL) season, working with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs ahead of this weekend’s season opener.

Bulldogs players Ryan Sutton and Braidon Burns visited the service to work with children on a “short and sharp” fitness routine designed to reinforce the importance of physical activity, staying active, and developing coordination and gross motor skills.

Young Academics is the Official Childcare Centre Partner and Sleeve Partner of the Bulldogs, tapping into the rugby club’s fitness expertise as an extension of Young Academics’ wellness and wellbeing program, and creates unique opportunities for families to get involved with a professional sporting club.

“By engaging with Bulldogs role models and professionals in the fitness field, we are creating unique opportunities for the young children in our care and their families to learn more about leading active lifestyles,” said Young Academics Group Managing Director James Kazzi. 

“This new routine will be rolled out across our entire network for children and educators to participate in every day to prepare themselves for the busy day of learning ahead…and start the day in a fresh, fun way.”

The partnership complements Young Academics’ ongoing commitment to developing children’s gross motor skills and hand-eye coordination through scheduled sports programs and outdoor play environments, with Bulldogs staff and players working alongside the Young Academics team to deliver syllabus content.
