Former Goodstart CEO Julia Davison joins Paul Ramsay Foundation Board

Julia Davison, former CEO of Goodstart Early Learning, has joined the Board of Directors at the Paul Ramsay Foundation (PRF). 

The PRF is one of Australia’s largest charitable philanthropic organisations, and Board Chair Michael Traill AM said that he and the Board were delighted that Ms Davison was joining as a Director, welcoming her not-for-profit and social enterprise experience to the mix.

Ms Davison was most recently the CEO of Goodstart, a position that she held since February 2011. Her leadership of the organisation was instrumental in the transformation of Australia’s largest provider of early learning and care into a globally acclaimed large scale social enterprise.

“Julia Davison is a highly respected leader across the sectors with a depth of understanding in the vital early years space. In her role at Goodstart, she was a driving force for influencing positive policy and sector change. We welcome her expertise in this area,” Mr Traill said.

Ms Davison, in turn, said the Board position would be a wonderful opportunity for her, and that she looks forward to “delving into the work”. 

“I’m hopeful that my experience and insights in working in the early childhood, not-for-profit, homelessness, and education space will enable me to provide a meaningful contribution to the fantastic work already under way at PRF,” she said.

I look forward to being a part of the team that helps steer the organisation to help improve outcomes for all Australians, especially Australia’s young people.”

Throughout her term on the PRF Board, which commences in March 2023, Ms Davison will draw on her extensive professional experience, her learning from the Harvard Kennedy School, and her strong interest in public policy.
