G8 Education wins bronze medal at National Training Awards
Early childhood education and care (ECEC) provider G8 Education has secured the bronze medal in the Apprenticeships-Employer Award category at the 2022 Australian Training Awards which were celebrated in Adelaide on 18 November.
G8 Education was the bronze medalist, with the WA Department of Justice in first place, followed by NSW-based Komatsu.
The provider was recognised for its “sector-leading Study Pathways Program (that) supports team members to take their profession to new heights by offering opportunities to obtain fully funded, nationally accredited qualifications while working in centre”.
“As the early learning sector workforce shortages continue, we know we need to think differently to attract, retain and develop passionate educators and teachers; which is why we will be continuing to invest more in professional development, training and pathways that allow team members to create a fulfilling career,” said Tabitha Pearson, G8 Education’s Chief People Transformation Officer.
The program currently supports over 1,200 educators in their studies.
Queensland Minister for Training and Skills Development Di Farmer congratulated the provider on collecting the national honours and putting a spotlight on excellence in Queensland’s training and skills sector.
“It is a fantastic achievement for G8 Education to be named the nation’s best, recognising their hard work, commitment and excellence,” she added.
