NSW Gov funding injection will reduce wait times at remote and regional ECEC sites

Waiting lists at 18 early childhood education and care (ECEC) services in New South Wales will be reduced thanks to an injection of funding from the NSW Government. 

The Government has committed to more than $15.5 million in capital works funding, which Minister for Education and Early Learning Sarah Mitchell said will create more than 600 additional community preschool places for children to attend a preschool program at least two days per week. 

Funds have been allocated through the latest round of Start Strong Capital Works grants and will support a range of improvements, including new builds, extensions and renovations of centre-based community preschools.
