Sydney Early Education Centres holds postponed annual award event
The three services in the Sydney Early Education Centres (SEEC) team recently gathered for their annual celebration and awards night, belatedly celebrating the achievements of 2021.
The event had been postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions, leaving the Cheltenham (CEEC), Northmead (NEEC) and Westmead (WEEC) teams excited to finally be together again.
“Once again it was lovely to see old and new friendship connections, laughter, Karaoke singing and the different belly dancing skills,” said Margaret Wilson, SEEC Manager.
Ms Wilson sincerely thanked all SEEC team members for their hard work, dedication, professionalism, and passion for early childhood education and care. She also highlighted the role of the SEEC leadership team in ensuring that “each service is exceptional,” as well as SEEC as a whole, thanking families and staff for their nominations and votes in the annual awards, which were given as follows:
- Ten-year service award: Antonela Sala
- Five-year service award: Adee Arcenia and Jessica Azevedo
- Inclusive Practice Award: Winnie Tam (CEEC), Bronte Gower (WEEC) Kalpna Guleria (NEEC)
- Innovation in Education Award: Janice Wong (CEEC), Cathy Primmer and Adee Arcenia (NEEC) , Rozina Sadruddin (WEEC)
- Integrity Award: Vivian Men (NEEC) – Madeline Azzi (WEEC) (Mary) Wei Ma (CEEC)
- Team Player Award – Collaboratively works with and supports others to achieve goals and positive outcomes: Jamie O’Donnell (CEEC), Natalie Ko (NEEC), Swathi Muddaluru (WEEC)
