Fast tracked ECT degree on offer with ACU, the Front Project and Victorian Department
The Victorian Department of Education and Training is partnering with the Australian Catholic University and the Front Project to provide an accelerated 18-month Bachelor of Early Childhood Education for educators as they look to take the next step in their careers.
The Innovative ITE degree presents an exceptional opportunity for diploma qualified educators to become a qualified early childhood teacher (ECT), with the Victorian Government paying for university course fees and a degree which can be completed in just 18 months. For those who commence their studies in March 2022, graduation is expected in July 2023.
For students who apply via the Front Project, free access to the Upskill Program will be included. The Upskill Program is a mixed mentoring, resources, and peer-to-peer support program that guides university students undertaking early childhood teaching qualifications through to completing their degree.
To be eligible for this opportunity applicants must:
- Live and work in Victoria
- Have completed their Diploma in Early Childhood in the last ten years
- Work in the ECEC sector
- Have a sound knowledge of digital literacy
- Be prepared to study full time for 18 months (no part time option is available)
- Be ready to commence study in either Semester One or Semester Two 2022.
