Only About Children confirms departure of CEO after three years leading company
Only About Children (Oac) has confirmed that current CEO, Anna Learmonth will be leaving the group after three years in the role.
Since joining Oac Ms Learmonth has led the company through a period of strong growth having doubled the centre network to around 80 services whilst maintaining sector leading quality ratings of 90 per cent of services rated at meeting or exceeding the National Quality Standard.
In addition, Ms Learmonth transformed the organisation’s operations to meet the demands of the larger network whilst maintaining a “relentless focus” on children’s health, wellbeing and development alongside the needs of their parents and Oac’s workforce of 1,500 team members.
Ms Learmonth said, “After being involved with Oac for nearly 10 years, first as an Oac parent and more recently as CEO, I look forward to continuing to support the Oac business from beyond the role while I pursue my next challenge.”
The Oac board thanked Ms Learmonth for her contribution over the course of the last three years and wished her well for the future.
Oac has also confirmed that John Burns will succeed Ms Learmonth in the CEO position effective end of September 2020.
Mr Burns will be joining Oac from veterinary services group, Vet Partners Australia, where he has spent nearly five years, three of which were in the CEO position. Prior to Vet Partners Australia, Mr Burns was CEO at Ochre Health Group.
Mr Burns said “I am looking forward to working with the Oac team to continue to deliver high quality early learning and care within Australia, with the same commitment to delivering Only About Children’s unique curriculum, nutrition, and health programs.”
