Liverpool Council’s ECEC settings all rated as Exceeding

All of Liverpool City Council’s early childhood education settings have been awarded the rank of “Exceeding the National Quality Standard” by the New South Wales Department of Education, with the Council recently receiving the results from the final assessments of its Cecil Hills and Holsworthy sites conducted in December 2019.

Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said the results were “no easy feat” in a climate of robust assessment and rating measures undertaken by the NSW Department of Education.

“Earning the Exceeding rating is a credit to our Children’s Services staff, who build genuine connections with all their children and are passionate about being part of their growth,” Ms Waller said. 

“Our staff love what they do and we’re incredibly proud to have our efforts in providing quality service for families in Liverpool recognised by the NSW Government,” she added.

While waiting lists for many services are in place, she encouraged families to learn more about the “wide array of Children’s Services we provide in which their children can still take part”.

Liverpool Council operates six early education and care centres in Cecil Hills, Hinchinbrook, Holsworthy, Prestons, Warwick Farm and Wattle Grove, as well as Casula Preschool. The centres were assessed between June 2018 and December 2019.
