Queensland Government funding boost – $773,000 for community organisations
The Queensland Government is delivering 31 funding grants worth $773,000 to community organisations, including those in early childhood education and care (ECEC) in North West Queensland under the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF).
A number of early childhood education and care (ECEC) services benefited from the latest round of funding, including Injilinji Community Preschool and Kindergarten Association Incorporated who received $21, 545 for flooring upgrades, and Kawana Community Kindergarten and Preschool Association who will use the $15,000 received to upgrade kitchen facilities.
Queensland Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Yvette D’Ath congratulated the recipients on a visit to Mount Isa Hockey Association, one of the funded organisations, saying the funds will make a huge difference to these organisations, and that the Grant are “another sign of the government’s commitment to ensuring regional Queenslanders can access quality services and facilities.”
