600 Queensland educators to benefit from fully funded diplomas through new partnership

A new partnership between the The Fraser Foundation and the College for Australian Early Childhood Educators (CAECE) will support up to 600 diploma students each year, removing tuition costs for those from low-income and regional Queensland communities.

This partnership will provide student grants to cover the student contribution fee component of the nationally recognised Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, delivered by CAECE, a Queensland-based Registered Training Organisation. The grants will complement funding already available through the Queensland Government’s Career Boost program, allowing eligible students to complete their diploma with no out-of-pocket tuition costs.

The initiative is designed to break down financial barriers, boost student retention, and encourage Certificate III graduates to continue into the diploma program, ultimately strengthening workforce capability and improving long-term career outcomes across the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) sector.

Founded by early childhood education advocate Mr Jae Fraser, the Fraser Foundation is a philanthropic organisation dedicated to increasing access to education and improving life outcomes for individuals facing financial hardship. Its mission is to reduce economic barriers and promote equitable access to career development opportunities in the early childhood sector.

“This initiative is about more than just funding education, it’s about investing in the future of early learning in Queensland,” said Mr Fraser. “By removing financial barriers, we can empower passionate educators to pursue higher qualifications, improve workforce capability, and support the sustainability of the sector.”

With over 900 current enrolments, CAECE delivers both the Certificate III and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, and plays a key role in training the next generation of early childhood educators across Queensland.

“We are proud to work alongside CAECE to deliver practical solutions that support equity in education and career advancement,” Mr Fraser added.
