Provider Tool Kit updated to better support ECEC services

The Australian Government Department of Education has recently updated the Provider Tool Kit, making it easier for early childhood education and care (ECEC) providers and services to find the resources they need to support their operations.
Designed as a central hub for commonly accessed tools and information, the Provider Tool Kit brings together a range of materials to help services stay informed, meet their obligations, and communicate effectively with families and staff.
The latest update responds to feedback from the sector and aims to streamline navigation and improve the user experience. With an improved structure and new features, the tool kit is intended to save providers time and effort when accessing high-use documents and guidance materials.
What’s new in the Provider Tool Kit?
Several enhancements have been introduced, making the tool kit more practical and user-friendly:
- A new resources section
This section gathers the most frequently used forms, task cards and guidebooks in one easy-to-navigate space. Whether providers are submitting applications, reporting changes or looking for compliance support, essential documents are now more accessible. - Updated communication tool kits
These tools help services engage clearly and confidently with families and staff on key topics. Suggested messages, templates and visual aids support community communication and strengthen trust. - A link to the Department’s YouTube playlist
The tool kit now includes direct access to the Department’s ECEC YouTube playlist, which features informative videos on topics such as CCS system updates and professional practice advice.
These changes are part of the Department’s ongoing commitment to reduce administrative burden and support high-quality, efficient service delivery across the ECEC sector.
How to use the updated tool kit
ECEC providers are encouraged to explore the updated Provider Tool Kit and become familiar with its new layout and features. Designed for ease of use across mobile, tablet and desktop devices, the tool kit is a valuable resource for all services.
To get the most benefit, services can:
- Bookmark the Provider Tool Kit for quick future access
- Share the link with educators and team members to promote consistent resource use
- Check back regularly for updates or new content
Feedback is welcomed via the contact links provided on the Department’s website, with suggestions helping guide future improvements.
Supporting a strong ECEC sector
The Provider Tool Kit is one of several Department initiatives aimed at supporting a responsive, high-quality early childhood education and care sector. By improving access to key resources, the Department is helping providers deliver safe, inclusive and enriching learning environments for children and families across Australia.
