ACECQA seeks sector feedback on proposed child safety enhancements in education and care services

The Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) has initiated a public consultation, inviting feedback on proposed regulatory and non-regulatory policy options aimed at enhancing child safety within education and care services across Australia.
This consultation underscores the paramount importance of safeguarding the health and wellbeing of all children attending education and care services. ACECQA is calling upon a broad spectrum of stakeholders including approved providers, service leaders, educators, staff, volunteers, families, parents, carers, and children to contribute their perspectives on potential policy changes.
The consultation is open until 11 June 2025. Stakeholders are encouraged to review the proposed options and submit their feedback through the official consultation page.
This initiative reflects ACECQA’s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement in the education and care sector, ensuring that child safety remains a central focus in policy development and implementation.
Your participation is vital in shaping policies that uphold and enhance the safety and wellbeing of children in education and care settings.
