Tailor made tour sees New Zealand play host to global ECEC delegates
Leaders from multisite early childhood education (ECE) services from across the globe will gather in New Zealand in March for a six day study tour.
Hosted by the World Forum of Early Childhood Development and Early Childhood New Zealand, the tour is a tailor-made, in-person professional learning programme which will commence 9 March 2025, designed to offer participants access to international innovation, professional connections and inspiration through a multi-city Study Tour visiting a diverse group of operators in New Zealand.
The New Zealand Study Tour will offer:
- Time with leaders of some of New Zealand’s leading multi-site ECE providers
- Visits to a variety of head office and individual sites to learn in person
- Time with New Zealand regulators and experts to understand ECE curriculum, planning and assessment practices, the role of the teacher, and the role of the environment in the curriculum
- Opportunities to engage in local Māori traditions and to deepen understanding about the bi-cultural context and ECE in New Zealand
- Inspiration through the work of young children
- Intentional reflection time as a group to create networking opportunities and strengthening collective understanding
- Long-term professional relationships as you share the entire trip with a peer group of other World Forum multi-site leaders from across the globe
“The challenges for leaders of larger ECE providers are different, so at the last few World Forum’s, we’ve supported a series of workshops specific to leaders of multi-site groups” spokesperson Peter Dixon said.
“We are curating an intentionally diverse group. There are currently 30 confirmed participants for the event from the US and Canada, so we are now opening it up to leaders from Australia who may be interested in the few remaining spots.”
