The Sector extends on Connect+ events with new series of niche ECEC Forums
The Sector has confirmed the launch of a new series of boutique forums specifically for niche communities within the early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector in a non-corporate, content rich, delegate led format.
The series will build on the success of The Sector’s popular Connect+ events held throughout 2023 and 2024, bringing together small groups of like minded professionals to learn about, discuss, and debate contemporary matters of shared importance to them, and their organisations, in an intimate, informal environment.
“We have known for some time that there is a substantial appetite amongst niche segments of the ECEC community to come together in non-corporate, carefully curated gatherings that cater for learning, discussion and networking at a reasonable price,” Jason Roberts, Founder of The Sector said.
“Our Connect+ events demonstrated this very clearly, and our new series of ECEC Forums will take all of our learnings and expertise to a new level with the view of supporting a greater number of ECEC professionals to be sufficiently informed and connected to navigate what is an increasingly complex operating environment.”
“We are very excited about this new initiative and will look forward to working with our partners and community to make it happen.”
Themed events and delegate led – The key to the ECEC Forum ethos
Each ECEC Forum will focus on a different general theme or subject that resonates with a broad range of professionals operating across the ECEC community, with the format specifically designed to encourage interactivity between delegates and subject matter experts at all levels.
“As Australia’s largest digital ECEC news platform writing scores of articles a week we are very well positioned to see clearly common threads of interest that span our coverage and our readers’ primary interests,” Mr Roberts said.
“It is probably no surprise that the educator community is particularly engaged with articles around workforce and wellbeing, that approved providers have a keen interest in compliance matters and that owners and landlords focus on policy and business related stories.”
“Connecting niche interests with niche communities is at the heart of what we are trying to do with our ECEC Forums series and by delivering on this objective in a non-corporate, inclusive environment where delegates can interact freely with high quality subject matter experts we are confident they will be a great success.”
The ECEC Forum series will kick off with an ECEC Owners and Landlords Forum scheduled for March 2025, with event details to be released in the near future, followed by an ECEC Workforce and Wellbeing Forum soon after.
