Erica Preschool to continue in Baw Baw Shire through 2025

Victoria’s Baw Baw Shire Council has welcomed an announcement that Erica Preschool will continue to run its kindergarten service in 2025.
The Council was recently advised that an arrangement had been reached between Y Kinders and the Department of Education to continue the service.
Baw Baw’s Mayor, Councillor Annemarie McCabe, said she was “thrilled with the news.”
“As a Council, all of our Councillors supported the community in advocating for this,” she said.
“We would like to thank each and every member of the community who spoke up and advocated for this service in Erica.”
While the Council does not run kindergarten services in the Shire, it does play a vital role in supporting the community and advocating for the needs of future generations, she continued.
“This was an example of Council helping the community to advocate and be heard. This shows how Council can work closely with our community, businesses who operate in our Shire and the Victorian Government to get positive outcomes.”
Ms McCabe said the Council looks forward to working with Y Kinders and the Department of Education to ensure the continuation of a quality service for the Erica community.
“We will continue to advocate to ensure that this is a long-term commitment beyond just 2025.”
Erica Preschool families will receive further communications from Y Kinders in due course, regarding enrolments, important dates and any updates to policies and procedures.
