Enrolments for 2024 free coaching packages in Victoria now open
Gowrie Victoria is offering free coaching packages in 2024, on behalf of the Victorian Department of Education, to existing early childhood teachers and educators who might be returning to the sector from extended leave, or from working in primary education, or those joining the Victorian early childhood workforce from interstate or overseas.
The program, which looks at the specific needs of the teacher or educator, includes both face-to-face and online coaching sessions, with a variety of individualised packages of 10, 15 or 20 hours.
Each coach is as diverse as the people and services they work with, however all coaches are highly experienced early childhood professionals.
“We get what’s happening for you…We understand what the current day-to-day complexities are, and we bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to help you achieve your goals,” explained consultant Julie London, who is one of the team of coaches at Gowrie Victoria.
The coaching program is designed to complement induction and orientation at the individual’s own service and support them to reflect and feel connected as they join, or re-join the sector.
To support educators and teachers to understand how the program works and what support is available, Gowrie Victoria will be holding two online information sessions for anyone interested in the program:
Wednesday 22 November | 4:00 – 5:00pm
Thursday 30 November | 1:30 – 2:30pm
The sessions will include:
- A detailed overview of the Returning Teachers and Educators Coaching Program
- An opportunity to meet and hear from two of our Gowrie Coaches
- An open forum for questions.
