Mossfiel Integrated Family Centre coming to Hoppers Crossing

A new $4.5 million Integrated Family Centre (IFC) will be built in Hoppers Crossing, Victoria, due to open in 2024.
The Mossfiel IFC will include three kindergarten rooms, a large outdoor play space, two maternal and child health and allied health services consulting rooms, and other early service amenities.
It will replace the former Mossfiel Kindergarten and Hoppers Crossing Children’s Centre and will consolidate early learning and community services for families under one roof, tripling the kindergarten’s current capacity and reallocating the services to a more suitable location.
“This $4.5 million project will replace two aging early years centres with a new purpose-built facility that integrates kindergarten, maternal and child health and playgroups at the former Hoppers Crossing Children’s Centre site,” said Wyndham City’s City Design portfolio holder, Councillor Josh Gilligan.
This project is being jointly funded by the Department of Education and Wyndham City.
Councillor Gilligan said the Mossfiel IFC was part of a $47 million Kindergarten Infrastructure and Service Plan between Council and the Victorian Department of Education to support the delivery of early years infrastructure.
“We thank the Victorian Government for investing in the expansion of early years infrastructure across Wyndham,” he added.
The new building will be delivered by the Victorian School Building Authority in the form of a modular structure that will be constructed off site in sections or modules. The modules will be transported to Mossfiel Reserve where they will be assembled onsite and connected to utilities.
