Golden Plains Shire community members give children’s services the tick of approval
The results from Golden Plains Shire’s latest Children’s Services User Satisfaction Survey have been released, with community members giving the council’s Children’s Services ‘the tick of approval.’
The annual survey assesses the Council’s performance in its kindergarten, maternal and child health, and family day care (FDC) programs. Of the nearly 200 respondents, more than 90 per cent expressed that these programs either met or exceeded their expectations.
Educators and other staff members associated with the children’s services program were commended for their professionalism, approachability, and deep understanding of individual children’s needs.
Key findings from the survey include:
- 94 per cent of respondents felt that kindergarten staff effectively addressed their concerns.
- 92 per cent were satisfied or highly satisfied with their interactions with FDC educators.
- 93 per cent were satisfied or highly satisfied with the approachability of all teams and the understanding of their child’s needs.
Mayor Brett Cunningham praised the dedication of the Children’s Services team saying the survey results are a testament to their commitments to delivering high-quality services to families in the community.
“This feedback is really encouraging and will guide Council in enhancing the delivery of kindergarten, maternal and child heath, and FDC services, while adapting to the evolving needs of the growing community,” Cr Cunningham said.
“The results highlight the significance of these strong satisfaction levels, to ensure all children, families and carers continue to receive a quality experience.”
