Great Beginnings Pakenham rated as Exceeding in all seven quality areas
Great Beginnings Pakenham, a G8 Education service, has been assessed and rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standard in all seven quality areas during a recent assessment visit.
“I am so proud of my team, and it is wonderful for the high-quality education and care we provide the children every day to be recognised and celebrated in this way,” said Centre Manager Nina Blagojevic.
One of the unique aspects noted during the assessment was the way in which the 160-place service “feels like a small, tight knit community,” she added.
“All 50 team members know the names of every child and family that attends the service and feels confident to greet them.”
“When a new family enrols in our service we have a saying, and that is ‘welcome to our family’ because that is what it feels like at our service, just one big family,” she added.
More than 250 children a week are educated and cared for by the service, and educators and teachers are committed to ensuring the needs and interests of every child.
“Our philosophy is ‘seeking and hearing each child’s voice’ and that is what leads us in our program and practice every day,” Ms Blagojevic said.
Area Manager Rebecca Lomagno said the large, natural environments are also a drawcard of the service.
“The centre has beautiful, open outdoor spaces and the indoor environments are designed to create comforting, natural places for learning and exploring,” she said.
“More natural spaces and materials promote greater curiosity and discovery for children, which should always be at the heart of early learning.”
