Outside school hours care (OSHC) provider Camp Australia has celebrated Principal’s Day by releasing the next of its Insight Series webinars which will cover wellbeing for school leaders.

The ‘Enhancing Wellbeing: Empowering School Leaders’ webinar will take place on Thursday, 7 September 2023, at 2:00pm AEST. The webinar will help school leaders who want to invest time in their wellbeing and gain practical insights that will empower them to make a positive impact on their school and community.

“As an integral part of the school community, Camp Australia is committed to delivering insights, expertise, and strategies to tackle the pressing challenges faced by our school leaders,” said Camp Australia CEO Warren Jacobson.

“The Insight Series is one way we offer school leaders access to industry specialists and content focusing on key topics of interest such as resilience, mental health and wellbeing.”

The Principal Wellbeing Report, recently tabled at parliament, showed a 64 oer cent increase in “red flag” alerts from principals in 2022 and increasing incidents of parental dysregulation towards teachers and school leaders, which highlight a need for this important wellbeing discussion.

During the webinar, Camp Australia CEO Warren Jacobson, will be joined by a panel including Kristen Douglas, Head of Schools at headspace, to discuss this important subject. Ms Douglas is a prominent figure in the education and mental health sectors.

Ms Douglas will delve into the critical issue of school leader wellbeing and seasoned school leaders will share their expertise and practical insights on handling parental dysregulation.

“We are delighted to join forces with Kristen Douglas from headspace and school leaders from our Camp community to highlight the importance of prioritising self-care among school leaders and supporting their teams,” Mr Jacobson said.

“This is a free event and we extend an invitation to all school leaders to join us.”
