The Department of Education has a range of free business support services for early childhood education and care (ECEC) services who are in receipt of a Community Child Care Fund (CCCF) grant to help them review and improve their financial viability and sustainability.
CCCF business support is a free business review and advice service provided to eligible CCCF grant recipients. Support is delivered through business advisors who work with a service to help identify ways to improve financial viability and sustainability.
This may include helping services to:
- implement sound business practices
- identify cost drivers and potential savings
- transition to a more appropriate business model and/or service delivery model.
In July 2023, the Department announced business support would be available for the 2023–24 financial year.
To be eligible for business support, a service must be a recipient of one of the following CCCF grants:
BDO Services Pty Ltd (BDO) has been engaged by the Department to deliver business support.
Eligible services have been invited to apply for support by filling out the CCCF business support online application form and providing supporting information.
The form includes questions about business support requirements, and will be sent to BDO for assessment. BDO will then (within 28 days of application):
- contact the applicant to understand more about the service
- do an initial assessment of the issues affecting the service that may be impacting financial viability and sustainability
- help identify and implement actions to improve financial viability and sustainability of the service
- help the service to use existing business support tools and templates, if required.
Business support will be targeted based on need.
Applications for business support opened on 19 July 2023.Services who have trouble accessing or completing the application form should email [email protected]
