Request for Tender opens for supporting next phase of Working Together program
The Tasmanian Government has opened a request for tender, seeking early childhood education and care (ECEC) services to support the next phase of the Rockliff Liberal Government’s successful Working Together – supporting early learning program.
The next stage involves an expansion of the program in 2024 and 2025, adding 120 more places each year, which will bring the total number to 360 in 2025, Tasmania’s Minister for Education, Children and Youth, Roger Jaensch said.
“In 2024, the focus will be on expanding into new service areas, while maintaining service levels in current areas. In 2025, the focus will be on increasing the service offerings in areas with higher numbers of eligible families.”
Working Together is a Tasmanian Government initiative that is already delivering services through 19 Early Childhood Education and Care services across the state, supporting 120 eligible three-year-olds to access funded education and care in the year before Kindergarten.
“It provides tailored support for children to learn, make friends and build confidence to set them on a great path for life and a healthy future,” Mr Jaensch said.
The Request for Tender is open until 24 May 2023 for eligible centre-based long day care ECEC services.
