New IWD@Work campaign hopes to boost meaningful conversations

UN Women Australia have launched a new campaign- IWD@Work – ahead of International Women’s Day (IWD) which is acknowledged on Wednesday 8 March 2023.
IWD@Work is billed as a complete virtual experience of the pre-eminent IWD events, paired with resources to amplify gender equality programs and boost meaningful conversations in the workplace.
The theme for International Women’s Day 2023 is Cracking the code: Innovation for a gender equal future, and through events and the virtual hub, UN Women Australia aims to explore how innovation, inclusion and education have the power to disrupt “business as usual” and crack the code to a gender equal future.
“Equality will only be achieved with bold transformative ideas, inclusive innovation and lasting solutions,” a representative from UN Women Australia said.
The IWD@Work Virtual Package includes:
- Company-wide access to UN Women Australia’s IWD 2023 virtual hub.
- IWD event streaming (live or on-demand) from Friday, 3 March to Sunday, 19 March 2023.
- IWD event showcase from Tuesday, 7 March to Sunday, 19 March 2023.
- IWD@Work Guide – business case, IWD theme context, stakeholder messaging, case studies, gender equality insights, workplace talking points, activation ideas, planning tools, goal setting and fundraising tips, promotional content and social assets.
“The resounding message across workplaces is a need for more genuine engagement on the topics that matter to employees – to not simply have policies in place, but to demonstrate accountability and provide spaces for learning and informed discussion,” UN Women Australia CEO Simone Clarke said.
“With our in- person events selling out every year – we saw this as an opportunity to unlock the compelling content that’s happening on stage and make it more accessible to all workplaces.”
“The only way we can truly accelerate gender equality is by engaging more people in the process. We simply can’t achieve that if these inspiring conversations and celebrations of breakthrough initiatives only happen behind closed doors.”
The IWD@Work Virtual Package ranges from $2,500 to $7,500 (based on company size). Click here to find out more.
